The Multi-Client Calendar Bottleneck
The Cross-Contamination & Login Nightmare
Managing complex diaries for 5+ different clients concurrently is a major administrative challenge. Logging in and out of different client Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud accounts throughout the day creates severe overhead and delay.
Standard shortcuts such as sharing all client calendar permissions to a single central account are off-limits. They create massive GDPR and security risks, as sensitive client schedules must remain strictly isolated and must never be cross-contaminated or exposed in browser histories.
I decided that I needed a way to view all active client schedules in one place to triage booking availability instantly during a shift, without storing credentials externally or leaving a permanent digital footprint.
The Solution: A Secure Sandboxed Overview Dashboard
We built a vanilla HTML/JS client application that runs fully sandboxed within the browser, storing credentials locally and proxying feed retrievals securely.
Simultaneous Multi-Feed Load
Enables me to load multiple client iCal links (Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar) at the same time into a single unified workspace.
GDPR-Safe Local Sandbox
Feeds and choices are encrypted and saved solely in the local browser's `localStorage`. They can be completely wiped with a single click at the end of a shift, leaving no trace behind.
Secure API Proxy Tunnel
Calendar downloads are routed via a Vercel `POST` proxy endpoint whitelisting trusted hosts, keeping private links out of query parameters, Vercel access logs, and browser history.
A Closer Look: The User Interface
Built with glassmorphism components, the dashboard aggregates active calendar events, weather reports, checklists, and daily quotes into a unified, easy-to-read view. (This image is using five mock calendars I created so no live client data is exposed).
Designed for Operational Security
Clean, One-Place Overview
Displays consolidated schedules on a single wall-mounted monitor or screen. I am now able to immediately spot open diary slots without shifting between tabs.
Absolute GDPR Safety
Personal feeds and keys remain encrypted inside local browser storage, and can be instantly removed. Client names and schedules never pass through or get saved in a server-side database.
Zero Availability Cross-Contamination
Because calendars are compiled purely in a display-only layer, there is zero risk of client invite leakages, calendar sharing mix-ups, or sending calendar invites from the wrong account.
Conflict-Packing Timeline
Timeline packing algorithms automatically render overlapping events side-by-side on screen. This lets me see exactly when multiple clients are busy or available simultaneously.
